It is that time of year when everyone is looking for a job to make money for the summer. Some of you may already know, but Mrs. Darla Strecker posts job hirings in the cafeteria. Many local jobs contact Mrs. Strecker with job openings for high school students and she posts them on the wall next to the vending machines for all to take advantage. Below are some of the jobs hiring now and a short description of what they entail.

Espinos
Espinos is a Mexican bar and grill restaurant in Chesterfield. They are currently hiring servers, bussers, hostesses and line cooks. This variety allows you to pick what works best for you. It is a great environment that includes live music on Fridays. If you are interested, you can apply online or stop into the restaurant and grab an application.

John J Steuby Company
John J Steuby Company is a manufacturer of precision machine parts and assemblies. They are in search of mechanically inclined students. If you are interested in the mechanic trade, they guarantee through their Machinist Training Program, you can become a lifetime mechanist. Stop in Monday through Friday before 3:00pm to apply.

World Outdoor Emporium
World Outdoor Emporium is only looking for seasonal help so if you are only looking for a summer job, this is perfect for you. The Emporium is for all those who love the outdoors; they sell landscaping and gardening supplies to homeowners. They are looking for garden laborers, stone yard loader (must be able to lift 100 lbs) and cashiers. The main requirement is that you must be able to work weekends. Stop by the St. Charles or Wentzville locations and apply in person.

ABC Daycare and Learning Center
If you are interested in the education field or just love kids, then apply to ABC. If you major in Early Education, they will pay for your college–what a deal! It is convenient after school hours and no nights or weekends. You will be working with kids with ages ranging from six weeks to six years old. There are four locations, so find one close to you and call to set up an interview.

Mrs. Strecker goes above and beyond what she is required to do and she finds all of us job opportunities. Instead of going on an extensive job search, check the board next to the vending machines and see if any of the jobs listed fit you! There are plenty more job postings on the board than what is listed in this article. When you get a chance, go check it out.
