Shortstop and third baseman Manny Machado just broke the MLB record of free agency by signing a 10 year, $300 million deal with the San Diego Padres. The Padres will have a good future with Machado because of his defensive and hitting skills.

There have been other huge contracts in the past, like Albert Pujols signing a 10 year deal with the Los Angeles Angels for $240 million, but the Padres broke the bank.

The Padres are hoping to have some good seasons with Machado but, some baseball experts are already predicting that the Padres will end up trading Machado because they will not be able to afford the end of his contract.
