Water — whether you like to drink it or not, you kind of need it. Humans are over 70 percent water and need around 64 oz. of it daily. That’s a lot of water, so it only makes sense to want to drink what tastes good. This definitive ranking of bottled water brands will help you make the best choices for your taste buds.

Over $2.00

Under $2.00

1. Fiji — An obvious choice. The best thing about Fiji is its fresh taste and accessibility. It’s right in the water section of every gas station and grocery store. Despite the high cost, the quality is definitely worth the price.

1. LIFEWTR — LIFEWTR is another popular brand amongst high schoolers. The interesting art on the bottles easily draws people in. Be warned—even though the bottle looks like a really cool Coachella outfit pattern, you will 100% forget about the artwork once you taste how good this water is.

2. Smart Water — A fish that tells jokes; what’s not to love? Smart Water is a common sight here at St. Dominic. And it’s definitely for good reason. It’s evident that the “smart” aspect of Smart Water has rubbed off on the students.

2. Tap water — No, this isn’t the name of a brand of water. In our area we have access to clean and well regulated water and it goes unnoticed sometimes. Save yourself some money, help the earth, and appreciate your faucets.

3. Voss — Now that they’ve gotten rid of the glass bottles, the popularity of Voss has risen among those who see themselves as clumsy. Voss is a Norwegian mineral water that is also easily found in local gas stations.

3. Ice Mountain — Aquafina’s doppelgänger. The only difference I can tell between the two is that Aquafina does not taste good when it’s warm. Ice Mountain still has a satisfying flavor when it gets room temperature.

4. Evian — Often regarded as one of the cleanest waters you can drink, Evian is a great option to have when looking for waters that have a good taste, durable bottle and even one of those cool caps that you can drink out of much more easily than normal bottle openings.

4. Arrowhead — Arrowhead is a good choice, but it’s often overlooked for some odd reason. I find it to be just as refreshing as most other waters, if not more.

5. Core — You may know Core Water from the unique bottle design you’ve seen in stores, even if you didn’t recognize the name. The bottle is simultaneously sleek and lightweight while being equally as big and durable. The water that’s contained inside this creative packaging is as crisp and clean as you could ask for.

5. Nestle — last but certainly not least— Nestle water is one most people have had. Though the bottles aren’t great for reusing, they’re not costly at all, so it’s a wise decision to buy them in bulk.

Overall, the best kind of water really depends on the person that’s drinking it. As long as it’s clean, you really can’t go wrong.
